Genedant Capital and SingHealth Formalise Collaboration to Advance Translation of Clinical Innovation into Healthcare Ventures

SINGAPORE, 3 September 2026 – Genedant Capital Pte. Ltd. (“Genedant”) and SingHealth, Singapore’s largest and leading public healthcare cluster, this week announced the signing of a Collaboration Agreement, formalising the strategic partnership first announced in a Memorandum of Understanding in March 2026.

The Collaboration Agreement marks the transition from exploratory discussions to a defined operating framework. Under the agreement, Genedant will serve as a venture capital partner to augment the development of SingHealth’s pipeline of startup-oriented research and innovation projects. Working together, the two organisations combine SingHealth’s world-class clinical, research and innovation expertise and Genedant’s strong venture building, market awareness and investment capability.

As part of the collaboration, Genedant will support SingHealth’s researchers and innovators by offering mentorship and commercial perspectives as they develop and derisk promising new technologies. SingHealth’s principal investigators will actively engage with Genedant through regular pipeline reviews and direct discussions to surface innovation opportunities, with SingHealth facilitating these connections.

For SingHealth, the arrangement brings institutional investor perspective to innovation projects at the early onset, helping equip them with the elements needed for a successful venture. For Genedant, it deepens engagement with differentiated early-stage healthcare opportunities emerging from one of Asia’s leading clinical and research ecosystems and extends the firm’s venture platform in deep technology through continuous review of novel technology domains.

Prof Ng Wai Hoe, Group CEO, SingHealth, said, “Our innovations are born from clinical teams who witness firsthand what patients need every day. Bringing those innovations to patients is our ultimate goal, and it is not something we achieve alone. Through our partnership with Genedant, we aim to bridge promising research with real-world impact and bring groundbreaking treatments to patients in Singapore and around the world.”

“Being close to clinical innovation before it reaches the market is where a venture platform is most useful – to the clinicians and researchers building these companies, and to identifying differentiated opportunities. We are pleased to deepen our commitment to SingHealth, and to Singapore’s standing as a global hub for healthcare innovation,” said Quek How Jiang, CEO of Genedant.

The partnership is expected to strengthen the pathway from clinical insight to commercially viable healthcare ventures, anchored in SingHealth’s depth of expertise and patient care mission, further supporting Singapore’s ambition as a global centre for healthcare and deep-tech innovation.
